Learning Theory: Addict them all!

This is an invitation for all you teachers out there, and for anyone who has “users” that need to be captivated and addicted to what you offer.

What a cool way to start 2006, reflecting on how to improve your user’s / student’s experience. After all, it’s all about them, and if we mess that part of the equation up, it all falls apart.

I have just skimmed through the lattest from one of my most favorite blog writers: Kathy Sierra. Check out this article and think very seriously about how you can incorporate it into your classroom.

  1. In the middle of 2 classes: Reading instruction and Teaching Best Practices and I discovered this site - it’s “out of .” It was music to my ears that we need to infuse our staff development with background music and snacks that tempt the nose, the eyes, the tastes, and touch.
    Knowing that learning is emotional and requires an “Energizer Bunny” (cute, pink, ever-ready, but NEVER “in your face” was helpful, as well. What fun!
