Weblogg-ed - The Read/Write Web in the Classroom :
I’m listening to a skypecast over at weblogg-ed that I’m totally enjoying. Right now Barbara Ganley (a vetren classroom blogging teacher) is talking about modeling, portfolios, assessment - wow! If you’re working with blogs in the classroom, or thinking about it…you need to check this skypecast out.

Aaron,
Thanks for the heads up on the skypecast…I dowloaded it yesterday and listened to it (partly) in the car on the way home. An interesting commute to say the least!
I found it interesting, no very interesting that Ganley makes her own personal blog public and all her students can view and comment on it… She also mentions that she is amazed students are interested in what she has to say as most of it is around the theme of ed blogging and social software…and that the strongest comments and challenges she gets on her blog are actually from her students!! Very interesting stuff. I am thinking of moving my personal blog to a more public platform, ie letting the class in on the blog… thanks, man, it was a compelling commute (although a stressful one driving home with the laptop open on the passenger seat and straining to hear the talk over the engine noise…)
